Kill Them All!

So we have gotten to the season finale and I am slightly impressed.

The series took an interesting turn pretty far in to the story as Spartacus is forced to kill his best friend for entertainment.
And the wife of the man that took Spartacus' wife from him, requested "stud service" with Krixis only to find that the man she is laying with is Spartacus. Treachery!!! They were wearing masks...I was even angered!

Spartacus was filled with visual eye candy, but that is not all I expected from this series. I really wanted it to have a sensuality and depth, I am afraid it got lost some where trying to create something like 300. It was concrete and mannequins. I was just bored.
But I came back every Friday night as most people did hoping that it would get more exciting. I love this part of our history. Rome and Greece with all it's over indulgence and power.

There is a second season planned, but I am not certain where they will go. The finale was Spartacus and his fellow gladiators killing everyone! I am hoping it will be more exciting then the first and I will be there to find out. I am curious....
You can read a really great write up about Spartacus here: http://www.blogger.com/upload-image.g?blogID=3007423930156356175
On a more tragic note, Andy Whitfield who plays Spartacus is under going

treatment for leukemia. We send out our well wishes and hope he makes a full recovery. : )
