Ironman 2

YES!! This movie turned out to be really, really good! I loved the story for this one and it was funny...yes funny!! Robert Downey Jr is amazing. He did a fantastic job.
LOADS of great music and WAR MACHINE!! How cool. All those weapons....Don Cheadle did a pretty good job as "Rhoadie". I still like the other actor better. He is likable. Cheadle is a bit stiff for me.

Mickey Rourke played Whiplash and did a decent job and his story was very good. I enjoyed watching his character really evolve in the movie.
I would have been happy without Black Widow. She was just boring, tired and so serious. She kicked some A**, but that's about it. Scarlet Johannson's performance was forgettable. She really didn't lend anything to the story other then Ooo's and Ahhhh's from the teenage boys behind me.
She did however rock in her skin tight body suit!

I would highly recommend seeing this in the theater. And make sure you stay after the credits for an exciting sneak peek into the world of S.H.I.E.L.D.

I have read rumours that Ironman 3 is in the works.

June Game Informer cover revealed!

And HOLY LOCUST!!!

Ya know, most people think I'm insane when I tell them that I sat and played Gears of War from beginning to end for Mother's day with Sam, but I did. 6 hours. (With breaks in between) but we kicked locust booty all day and it was a blast!! Plus I got flowers and he made me an awesome GOW card that says "Hope you have a face smashing day!" with a picture of a lancer. Which can also be used as a baseball bat.
(The Lancer, not the card!)

ANYway--guess who is gracing this months cover?? GUESS??? OMG!! I have already reserved this game at Gamestop and it isn't due out until NEXT April!! Am I a dork or what??? YES!!!

I cannot wait to get my hands on this mag. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer till it hits my mailbox. Some of you might like playboy, some hustler, maybe cat world does it for you, I think this cover has certainly done it's job get me all bajiggidy!! OK EPIC GAMES!!! BRING IT!!
PLUS!! If you have not heard, you can play as Marcus and Dom in the new LOST WORLD 2 game, out tomorrow!!

Godsmack : Oracle

Well, the boys have done it again!! Their new album is sexy and amazing. With the release of the first single off the new album, "Cryin like a bitch", you really can' t go wrong huh? The video is a trip. With UFC champs KO'ing each other to the beat. CRAZY! And come on, the coolest line in the whole song is "The hand of GOD just smacked you back into yesterday!"
There is nothing in my entire CD library like Sully Erna's voice. I was turned on to GODSMACK in 1998 with the release of their self titled album. I heard the song Keep Away and that was that! I am a die hard fan, my e-mail starts with getsmacked and I have the tribal sun inked on my skin. I look forward to every song, every album and the chance to go to a concert when they come around.
They even inspired me to pick up an electric guitar and start playing. The first song I learned was Keep away. With that wicked guitar rif at the beginning and then the bass comes in. Gives me chills. Sexy sound. They have been around a long time and I hope they can keep going. Rumours of a break up once in a while make me nervous, but they are Rock GODS and I am thinking they will be around for along time to come!
Pick it up at Target or FYE for 10 squealers. NEVER, EVER buy your music at Walmart. They censor thier music. And censorship is a SIN!
GODSMACK will be on The Jimmy Kimmel show on Wednesday the 5.

Sweet dreams

Is actually all I will have after this enormously boring movie. UGH!! I wasn't planning on hitting the theater today, but decided to go. I didn't even know what I would see. Nightmare on Elm Street was the earliest showing.

I thought for sure with it being number one at the box office this past weekend that there would be quite a few people in there, there was 5 including myself and it was certainly a sleeper. (And I don't mean it was surprisingly great!) I mean I had to keep from falling asleep.

It is really nothing like the original with Robert Englund that added a large teaspoon of cheesy humour. This one was just creepy. Creeeeepy, creepy. It wasn't really all that scary and not enough blood and gore. I was disapointed......I KNOW!!

I wouldn't waste your squealers on this one folks. It will be just as bad on DVD. I suggest if you want to be scared, you go and see Love Song instead!

Also, if you have not seen the original, please rent it. It's worth the $5.

FREE COMIC BOOK DAY!!

It's that time of the year again kids! Saturday May 1st! Be there or be square, cuz us comic book nerds are the coolest!
Stop by your local Comic shop and pick up a few free comics. Our favorite comic shop COMIX CONNECTION is located at the West Manchester Mall. They will be having all kinds of goodies on sale and also some "fabulous" (yes, I typed that!) give aways.
CC is trying to get some canned goods together for the local food bank, so in exchange for some food, you can get some extra comics! I think that is admirable.

There is also a War Machine Hero clix in anticipation of the Ironman 2 Sequel, to the 1st 200 crazies that roam through the door (One will be me!)
The counter monkeys will be handing out Peanut Chews and lots of attitude too!!
Bill and the guys are some of my favorite people. They put up with my ramblings with great respect, along with all my silly questions!
I got to meet the guys who wrote & drew The Stuff of Legend at the Baltimore Comicon last year. It's a really great story and the artwork is phenomenal. The Baltimore Comicon is a blast! I will have more info on this years con later....dude!

HALO: Reach

I am sure all of you have already seen the latest trailers for Reach, but because I am on dial up!!

I am days/weeks behind your excitement. I know there is a BETA trailer, which is way cool, but guess what? DIAL UP!!

Sam got me hooked on Halo when it first came out years ago. Even before he had his Xbox we would go to Gamestop and hang out and play Halo wars on the demo box. I LOVE Halo 3 : ODST. And HALO 3 isn't too bad either, so you can understand my excitement for Reach. We saw the world premiere trailer on the video game awards last year and with the anticipation comes even more trailers.

As I was watching Justified last night, a newer trailer came on which showed Carter the new guy getting ready to become a Spartan III. He was injected with his mutation serum and as we watch his muscles bulge, we see him looking back on his enlistment, then rising from the gurney to approach his new Spartan III suit. It's vague, but cool & exciting.

HALO: Reach drops in the Fall. And from what I have read, there is a Special Edition : ) BAZINGA!

RE-demption?

Ok, so who says riding a horse isn't fun? I had so much fun riding the horses around in Assassins Creed that when I caught wind of Red Dead Redemption I had to have it! (Reserve your copy at Gamstop b4 it comes out!)
Riding horses isn't the only thing you get to do in this Rockstar game. Galloping through the wild west trying to catch up with your old gang just to murder them sounds like much more fun then just riding your horse around....ok, ok. : )
The main character has to find his old gang members and kill them or his wife and child will be hung. How bout that? Now he's your hero isn't he? Not just some crazy heathen!
The game is from what I have read very broad and really drags you into experiencing life in the old west. Utilizing weapondry, horses, primitive machines and really making you work to get to the end of the game.
There is also the morality issue that I like having in my games. Should I kill him or turn him in? You also get to have fun exploring your enviroment and participating in ambushes, fighting wild animals and saving civilians from criminals for FAME points. It sounds a bit like a role playing game, but it is not.
I am really looking forward to it's release.

If you enjoy movies like Young Guns, Tombstone or Unforgiven you will definitely enjoy this game. Or if you just like to ride the CGI horse around....: )

Game gallops into stores with guns blazing (ya, cheesy!) on May. 18
Rockstar games. The makers of Grand Theft Auto.
Rated M for mature.

The Girls are back in town!!

You have no idea how excited I am about this movie. Boys just won't understand!
It's about friendship, FASHION and footwear.
Carrie is a fashion icon and I look up to her character. She is a strong, independant person who well, is now married to Mr. Big, but that's ok too....
The entire story is a fairy tale, but chics dig it.
I have all DVD's and the last movie, so this new flick will be so exciting!!
There are 1000's of fan site's on the web and 100's of shops that "carrie" fashion items inspired by the hit show.
I have a replica of the flower ring that Samantha wears in the last movie.
Get out your Monolo Blahnik's and swagger to the movie with a bunch of your friends.

Ironman 2

I have been drooling over this movie for months now!
I loved, LOVED the first installment of Ironman and adore Robert Downey Jr. (Make sure you check out Sherlock Holmes!)
Sam is a huge Ironman fan, so he is pretty excited about this movie too.
The new villans are Whiplash, played by Mickey Rourke (Not sure about this) and Black Widow (not sure about his either) played by Scarlet Johanson. I am looking forward to Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. He makes every movie cool! The newest trailer is kick ass with "Roadey" in his War Machine suit. LOVE War Machine! And as always we get to hear AC/DC jam to gun fights.
Directed by Jon Favreau
In theaters May 7.

Predators

I recently heard a very cool rumor through the guys at the comic book store that there is a new Predator movie coming out. I did some research and YES!! It is true. I have also recently seen the trailer on REELZ.
It is not a remake of Predator, but a new story.
Sam recenlty bought Aliens VS Predator for his XBOX and it is really a slick game, I am thinking this movie has something to do with the game.
It is directed by Robert Rodriguez. Stars Adrian Brody, Topher Grace, Lawrence Fishburne and a few other characters you will recognize.
The premise for the flick is that a small group of people are abducted from our planet and dropped on another planet onto a game reserve.
Unfortunately for them, they come to realize that they are the game and are being hunted by an alien of some kind.
The trailer reveals a little too much, but I am still pretty excited. I have always loved the alien/predator franchise. The movies scared the bajesus outta me and that is what makes them good movies. Not the special effects (bah!), but the story and how scary it is. : )
Showing up in a theater near you July 7th and is Rated R for the obvious reasons.
